Editorial Policies

Focus and Scope

The Journal aims to provide a forum for debate and an outlet for research involving all aspects of English Studies. 

Revista Alicantina welcomes articles of the following kinds:
  1. Articles on linguistics, language teaching, literature, literary theory and criticism, history and other cultural aspects of English-speaking countries.
  2. Reviews on recently published books in the field of English Studies (appeared within the two years previous to submission).
Revista Alicantina de Estudios Ingleses / Alicante Journal of English Studies has exchange agreements with similar journals in the field of English Studies. All such proposals should be addressed in writing to the aforementioned address.

Peer Review Process

Revista Alicantina de Estudios Ingleses / Alicante Journal of English Studies has a double-blind peer-reviewed panel formed by well-known Spanish and foreign scholars. Each article is anonymously sent to at least two external referees, who submit their evaluation in due time. If disagreement happens to occur between the two referees, a third opinion shall be requested. The authors of manuscripts, whose anonymous status is guaranteed throughout the evaluation process, are duly informed.

 

Publication Frequency

Revista Alicantina de Estudios Ingleses / Alicante Journal of English Studies is published yearly by the Department of English of the University of Alicante.

The reviewing process does not take longer than three months.

 

Open Access Policy

Immediate access to the journal's contents is granted upon the belief that free access to research results can help foster global knowledge exchange.

 

Archiving

This journal uses the LOCKSS system to create a file system that is distributed among collaborating libraries. Those libraries are allowed to create permanent archives of the journal for conservation and restoration. More...
